Sports Medicine 1-A
   This class is offered to sophomores thru seniors
       The Sports Medicine program is for students interested in pursuing a career in a health related field. The program will provide students the opportunity to acquire the necessary skills for a variety of entry-level positions. In addition, this program will encourage students to pursue a post secondary education in the health field. Sports Medicine I-A will focus on anatomy and sports related injuries. Areas of rehabilitation and taping techniques will be studied. The areas that will be covered in class will be the ankle, knee, thigh, hip and pelvis.

Sports Medicine 1-B (Upper Body)
   This class is offered to sophomores thru seniors
       This class is a continuation of Sports Medicine 1-A, but 1-A is not required. The areas that will be covered will be the writs, forearm, elbow, shoulder, neck and spine.

Sports Medicine II
   This class is offered to sophomores thru seniors
       Sports Medicine II will be a continuation of Sports Medicine 1-A, and 1-B. Extended areas of study will include career exploration and preparation, advanced rehabilitation and taping techniques. This is an active hands-on learning class.

Sports Medicine III
   This class is offered to sophomores thru seniors
       Sports Medicine III is designed for students who are interested in an advanced level of study. The advanced Sports Medicine course will be taught concurrently with the Sports Medicine I, II class: therefore, students must be able to work independently. Students will learn new topics and apply sports related techniques. This course may be repeated for credit. Medical OJT/Career Focus
       This class is offered to sophomores thru seniors Medical OJT/career Focus is an opportunity for a student who is interested in exploring the health care field. Students will job shadow for a specific field area of interest. This will facilitate learning of basic knowledge and skills needed in a job area. Students will be able to determine if this job is what they want to pursue in their future. One or two hours daily are required. Students are required to meet with the OJT/Career Focus coordinator and complete all program paperwork weekly, as well as attend workshops to learn specific skills related to the work place. Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from the work site.
